Lumier Entertainment

Change who gets
to make stories.

Lumier brings filmmaking tools and professional production together for people with a story, a song or a message to share.

Make your own film with Pictures, or explore a production with Studios. Music and two separate streaming services, Ciné and Télé, are planned additions to the ecosystem.

Our purpose

There is room for
your idea here.

A story can begin with a question, a memory, a laugh or something hard to put into words. You may have a finished script, a few lines or a song you want to see differently.

Our ambition is to help more people give those ideas a form. Better access to tools matters. So does a process that respects your judgment and makes the next step easier to understand.

You should not have to arrive with every answer. Start by exploring a workflow, finding the right kind of production, or asking a question.

Lumier Ciné

Selected films. Planned streaming service.

A separate streaming destination for selected creator films, from shorts to longer cinematic work. Editorial, technical and rights review are part of the plan. The service is not yet available.

Lumier Télé

Episodic stories. Planned streaming service.

A separate streaming destination for short serial stories, with characters and episodes viewers can return to. Programming, access and creator participation are being planned. The service is not yet available.

How the parts connect

Completed work could be considered for Ciné or Télé whether it was made in Pictures or with other tools. Each service would review editorial fit, technical readiness and rights, with release and participation terms agreed separately.

Selection would be separate from any Pictures subscription or production commission.

Our approach

The culture
we are building.

We want creators to feel that they are not alone in figuring out how to begin. That intention has to show up in the questions we ask, the options we explain and the care we take with the work.

  • Curiosity

Start by understanding what someone wants to express. Listen closely, ask useful questions and stay open to what the work reveals.

  • Courage

Make room to try, revise and ask for help. Be honest about uncertainty and willing to find a better way forward.

  • Care

Respect artistic choices and the people behind them. Explain scope, cost and limitations clearly. Take permissions, review and follow-through seriously.

AI-assisted tools can expand the choices available to a creator. Intention, judgment and decisions about what to keep remain central to the work. Comedy, drama, music and experimentation all have a place here.

The name

Inspired by 1895.
Built for the next generation of storytellers.

On December 28, 1895, the Lumière brothers presented a Cinématographe screening to a paying audience at the Grand Café in Paris. That milestone changed how people experienced moving images. Our ambition is to change who gets to make stories.

“More people with the ability to make something worth watching.”

Lumier takes inspiration from that landmark in a history shaped by many inventors and filmmakers. It is not an affiliation with the Lumière family or Institut Lumière.
